Royal Canin Wet Cardiac & Royal Canin Dry Cardiac Review

Hi, I am Dr.Anahita, a veterinarian from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. I am very thankful to Marshalls Pet Zone for giving me an opportunity to write to all pet owners. Further, I shall talk about Royal Canin products which are exclusively meant for dogs with cardiac dysfunctionality.

Royal Canin Wet Cardiac and Royal Canin Dry Cardiac are meant for dogs suffering from chronic cardiac disease. These products contain a low level of sodium and an increased potassium ratio, thereby keeping water retention at bay. Water retention is one of the causes of cardiac insufficiency in canines.

Royal Canin Dry Cardiac is recommended to dogs for problems like hypertension and heart disease. Royal Canin Wet Cardiac is recommended for congestive cardiac failure and hypertension. Take note that these two products are not meant for dogs that are pregnant, lactating, or suffering from pancreatitis, hyponatremia or hyperlipidemia. This diet can be introduced to a dog, from the onset of signs of cardiac disease. I, being a vet, always recommend Royal Canin Dry Cardiac and Royal Canin Wet Cardiac to my patients. Such is the credibility of Royal Canin products that they never leave their consumers disheartened.

Although Royal Canin Dry Cardiac and Royal Canin Wet Cardiac are recommended to dogs for the same health issue (cardiac disease), their ingredients are different. Royal Canin Wet Cardiac has pork and poultry meats, pork and poultry livers, rice, fish oil, tomato powder, taurine, green tea extract, etc. Whereas, Royal Canin Dry Cardiac has rice, dehydrated poultry meat, maize flour, animal fats, maize gluten, egg powder, hydrolyzed animal proteins, beet pulp, fish oil, vegetable fibers, minerals, soya oil, green tea extracts, etc.

Royal Canin Wet Cardiac benefits the dogs by boosting the heart muscle function. Royal Canin Dry Cardiac benefits dogs by providing the specific nutrients required to support the development of the vascular system, promotes renal function and fosters the growth of cardiac muscles.

There are plenty of advantages of these Royal Canin products, but a consumer MUST consult a veterinarian before introducing any of the above products to their dog’s diet.
